A tragic incident has shaken the Nkwadum community following the death of a 16-year-old Junior High School student after a violent altercation with a fellow student.
The deceased, Akua Kumah, was a JHS 3 student of Nkwadum D/A Junior High School.
Reports indicate that she was fatally stabbed in the chest by a 15-year-old JHS 2 female student during a confrontation allegedly sparked by a dispute over a boyfriend.
According to available information, the incident occurred while both students were returning home from school.

What reportedly began as a verbal disagreement quickly escalated into a physical fight, during which the suspect allegedly pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the victim in the breast.
Akua Kumah sustained severe injuries and was rushed for medical attention but was pronounced dead shortly after.
The incident has left residents, students, and school authorities in deep shock, raising serious concerns about violence among minors and student safety.
The suspect has since been taken into custody by the police to assist with investigations.
Law enforcement officials have launched a full probe into the circumstances surrounding the incident, while the body of the deceased has been deposited at a morgue for autopsy.
Education authorities and community leaders have called for calm as investigations continue, emphasizing the urgent need for conflict resolution education, guidance, and counselling in schools to prevent such tragic occurrences in the future.
