At least 17 people have been confirmed dead following a tragic head-on collision near Tikrom, close to Mankranso in the Ashanti Region.

According to reports, the accident involved an ambulance traveling from Drobo toward Kumasi and a sprinter bus heading in the opposite direction.

The two vehicles reportedly collided head-on under circumstances that are yet to be fully established by authorities.

Sources indicate that the ambulance was transporting a six-year-old child at the time of the crash.
