The Inspector-General of Police’s Special Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team (C.V.E.T.) has arrested a 54-year-old man, Awudu Razak, also known as “Oluman,” in connection with the alleged sexual abuse of a nine-year-old girl in Tesano, Greater Accra Region.
According to police sources, the suspect was apprehended following reports that he had repeatedly assaulted the minor.
The most recent incident allegedly occurred on Sunday, February 15, 2026. Authorities say the suspect further assaulted the child after she indicated her intention to report the matter to her father.

He is also accused of confining the victim in his room and instructing her not to leave until midnight in an attempt to avoid detection.
The suspect is currently in police custody and assisting with investigations.
The victim has been rescued and placed under the care of a relative to ensure her safety and well-being.
The Ghana Police Service has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting children and ensuring that perpetrators of abuse are brought to justice.
