A man identified as Paul has been arrested in connection with the alleged killing of his wife following a domestic dispute linked to suspected infidelity.
According to police sources, the incident occurred after Paul reportedly discovered what he described as an intimate relationship between his wife and another man.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed to acting out of intense anger upon learning that his wife had allegedly been seeing her lover secretly.

In his statement to investigators, Paul claimed that his wife was introduced to the other man by a friend.
He further alleged that she spent several nights away from their matrimonial home, a situation that reportedly raised concerns among relatives and members of the household.
Police say tensions escalated after the woman allegedly left home to spend about two weeks at the residence of the other man without informing her husband.
Upon her return, an argument reportedly ensued, which later turned violent.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect allegedly used a cutlass during the assault, resulting in fatal injuries to the victim.
The woman was pronounced dead shortly after the incident.
Paul is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
Authorities say he will be put before the court to face the full rigours of the law once investigations are concluded.

The police have reiterated calls for calm and urged couples facing marital challenges to seek lawful and peaceful means of resolving disputes rather than resorting to violence.
