A fire outbreak has destroyed several vehicles and other valuable properties at a mechanical workshop near Sofoline Magazine in Kumasi.
The incident occurred earlier today, sending thick plumes of smoke into the sky and causing panic among workers and residents in the area.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire spread rapidly through the workshop, where several vehicles were parked for repairs.

Flammable materials commonly used in mechanical shops are believed to have contributed to the intensity of the blaze.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) was promptly alerted and dispatched firefighters to the scene.
Fire officers worked swiftly to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures and businesses.
After several hours of intensive efforts, the situation was brought under control.
Although no casualties have been reported so far, the fire caused extensive damage to vehicles, equipment, and other properties at the workshop. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.
Officials from the GNFS have launched investigations to determine the source of the outbreak and to assess the extent of the damage.
They have also advised operators of mechanical workshops and similar facilities to strictly observe fire safety measures, including proper storage of flammable materials and the availability of fire extinguishers.
Residents and business owners in the area have been urged to remain calm as authorities continue their assessments.
