A disturbing video circulating on social media has sparked public outrage after a man was allegedly assaulted by the father of his girlfriend in Assin Breku, Central Region.
According to the victim, the incident occurred after the woman’s father invited him under the pretext of a conversation.
He claimed that upon arrival, the man forcibly tied his hands to a tricycle (popularly known as aboboyaa) and threatened him, demanding that he choose between life and death if he failed to end his romantic relationship with his daughter.

Speaking in an interview with Adom FM, the victim stated that he had no prior warning of the attack and pleaded with the father to forgive him, assuring him that he would stay away from the daughter.
Despite this, he alleged that the father mounted the tricycle and dragged him along the ground while he was still tied, resulting in severe bruises and deep cuts to various parts of his body.
The victim described the ordeal as traumatic and life-threatening, stressing that he did not resist the assault out of fear for his life.
He has since appealed to the Ghana Police Service to intervene, arrest the suspect, and ensure that justice is served.

The incident has reignited conversations about vigilantism, abuse, and the rule of law, with many Ghanaians calling for swift police action and accountability to prevent similar acts of violence in the future.
