The Ghana Police Service has arrested Moro Billa for allegedly making threats to bring Boko Haram into Ghana during a protest held at the Accra High Court.
According to police sources, the incident occurred amid a demonstration linked to the long-standing Bawku chieftaincy dispute.
The suspect is alleged to have made statements considered dangerous and capable of inciting fear, undermining public safety, and threatening national security.

In a statement, the Ghana Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and safeguarding the country, stressing that any remarks or actions that suggest violence, extremism, or terrorism will be treated with the utmost seriousness.
The police indicated that investigations are ongoing and that the suspect will be processed in accordance with the law.
Authorities also used the occasion to caution the public against inflammatory rhetoric, particularly during protests and sensitive national discussions.
They emphasised that freedom of expression does not extend to threats that endanger lives or the stability of the state.
The arrest comes at a time when the government says it is undertaking a national “reset,” prioritising security, rule of law, and social cohesion.

Security agencies have assured Ghanaians that proactive measures are in place to prevent any attempt to destabilise the country and to ensure continued peace nationwide.
