U.S. Military Analyst Warns of Iran’s Capability to Damage Israel and U.S. Forces

A former U.S. military officer and United Nations weapons inspector, Scott Ritter, has issued a stark warning about the strategic reach of Iran, arguing that it should be treated as a major regional power with credible military leverage.

Ritter contends that Iran possesses the capability to inflict substantial damage on both Israel and U.S. military installations across the Middle East.

According to his assessment, Iran’s missile forces, regional allies, and asymmetric warfare tools give it the capacity to strike U.S. bases with severe consequences, potentially resulting in heavy American casualties in the event of a full-scale confrontation.

Beyond direct military action, Ritter highlights Iran’s ability to disrupt or shut down regional energy production.

Such a move, he argues, would have far-reaching economic implications, destabilizing global energy markets and intensifying pressure on Western economies already sensitive to supply shocks.

He further warns that Iran could launch decisive attacks on Israel that would significantly degrade its infrastructure and military effectiveness, rendering large areas difficult to inhabit and affecting millions of civilians.

These claims underscore the potential scale of destruction if tensions escalate beyond proxy conflicts.

Ritter’s analysis challenges narratives that downplay Iran’s power, emphasizing that any military miscalculation could trigger a wider regional crisis with global repercussions.
