A tragic incident involving the deaths of three upcoming Nigerian gospel musicians and a blogger with Joe’s TV has sparked widespread shock and concern across Nigeria, after details of the case surfaced online.

According to reports, the four victims were locked inside a recording studio after participating in a virtual birthday praise event held between February 2 and February 4, 2026.

The programme, which was streamed online, reportedly concluded without incident, but concerns were raised when the participants could no longer be reached.

Preliminary information from investigators suggests the studio owner allegedly poisoned the victims following a dispute with one of them, identified as Segun Praise.

The studio owner, who was seen dressed in black at the scene, has since been arrested and is currently in police custody to assist with investigations.

Law enforcement authorities say they are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident, including the motive, timeline, and whether negligence or premeditation was involved.
