Eyewitnesses indicated that traffic was relatively light at the time of the crash, although reduced visibility may have contributed to the incident.
A short video recorded by the Weekend TV News Team captured the account of one of the occupants, who stated that the collision occurred moments after the vehicles passed the filling station.
The impact led to extensive damage and caused a temporary disruption to traffic along the stretch.
Despite the severity of the crash, all occupants escaped without life-threatening injuries.
Some individuals sustained minor bruises and experienced shock but received treatment at the scene.
Personnel from the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) later arrived to assess the situation and initiated investigations to establish the cause of the accident.
The damaged vehicles were subsequently towed away to restore the free flow of traffic.
Residents and road users have appealed to motorists to exercise extra caution, particularly during the early morning hours, to prevent similar incidents.
