The Government of Kuwait has announced a new social welfare initiative providing monthly financial support to Kuwaiti women aged 30 and above who have never been married.
Under the policy, eligible beneficiaries will receive 560 Kuwaiti dinars (KWD) per month—approximately $1,800—aimed at enhancing economic stability and improving quality of life.
The measure was introduced by the Ministry of Social Affairs as part of broader efforts to strengthen social protection systems and address evolving demographic and economic realities.

Authorities indicate that eligibility is primarily limited to Kuwaiti nationals who are unmarried and have reached the age threshold.
While some reports describe the initiative as a standalone program, others suggest it may operate within existing frameworks under the Central Assistance System.
The policy complements Kuwait’s longstanding welfare programs that provide assistance to widows, divorcees, and other vulnerable groups.
Officials say the initiative reflects constitutional commitments to citizen welfare and social equity.
Prospective applicants are advised to verify official guidelines and application procedures directly through the Ministry of Social Affairs to confirm eligibility requirements and documentation processes.
