A young woman has sparked debate online after sharing how a brief exchange over phone etiquette allegedly ended a promising relationship prospect.
According to her account, her mother introduced her to a financially successful man who reportedly expressed interest after seeing her at a local market.
The two began communicating via text, exchanging pleasantries and photos. She said she asked about his age and relationship status, to which he responded that he was 35 and had focused on building his finances before deciding to settle down.

However, tension arose when he called her unexpectedly the following morning. The woman explained that her phone is usually on “Do Not Disturb,” and she prefers that people seek permission before placing calls. She calmly communicated this boundary, asking him to notify her in advance.
She claims there was no argument, yet he blocked her shortly afterward. While her mother believes her response may have appeared rude, the woman maintains she was simply setting a standard for communication.
