A Russian national identified as Vyacheslav Trahov, also known online as Yaytseslav, has sparked widespread controversy in Ghana following allegations that he secretly recorded and shared intimate encounters with local women on social media platforms.

According to reports circulating online, Trahov allegedly used Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses to discreetly capture interactions, particularly around Accra Mall, without the knowledge or consent of the individuals involved.

A lady in the wild spread video has fire back at criticism saying “if I slept with the Russian Balthazar and he is sharing the video it your body”.

The videos were reportedly uploaded to platforms including TikTok, YouTube, and a private Telegram channel, igniting intense public debate over digital ethics, consent, and personal privacy.

While several women linked to the videos have remained silent, a few have spoken publicly about the emotional and psychological toll of having private moments exposed to a global audience.

One woman is said to have confronted Trahov directly, underscoring the distress caused by the alleged recordings.

The controversy has prompted calls from some Ghanaians for legal action, citing provisions within Ghana’s Cybersecurity Act and constitutional safeguards that protect individual privacy.

Communications Minister Samuel Nartey George has reportedly indicated that the government has initiated processes aimed at addressing the matter, including potential extradition efforts.
