The Date For The Late Daddy Lumba’s Funeral Allegedly Postponed. Check The Reason

The family of the late Kwadwo Fosu popularly known as Daddy Lumba, after the back and forth on the deliberation on the final date for the burial rites of the late Daddy Lumba has allegedly been postponed.

The announcement came after the Oyoko family of the late went to Manhyia palace following the late legend’s sister Ama Brempomaa invoking the great oath of Otumfuo after Kumasi High Court ordered the family head to organize the funeral rites.

According to a video circulating on the social media, an elderly woman claiming to be the mother [not biologically] saw her addressing the family head not having power over the burial rites of the late Kwadwo Fosu’s funeral rite arrangement.

“The family head has no power over the burial rites and it should be determined by the family and the wife, Akosua Serwaa”.

Many reports suggests that the date as arranged by the family and the funeral planning committee has been quashed and allegedly one week has been added.

When the family first appear before Nananom at Nana Samanhene’s palace to discuss the oath invoked by the late legend’s sister Ama Brempomaa, Nananom refered them to go back and settle any dispute among the family.

On the second day, the family appeared before Nananom where Ama Brempomaa’s was customarily arrested and charged two sheep for invoking Otumfuo’s great oath instead of Parkosohene’s oath because their lineage is traced from Parkoso.

Ama Brempomaa pleaded and it was reduced to one sheep. Customarily “Abusuapanin” is the head of the family he provided the sheep on behalf of Ama Brempomaa.

Abusuapanin on the other side when ask about the funeral arrangement informed Nananom that he has informed Otumfuo about the funeral arrangement set to take place on 6th December, 2025.

Nananom questioned the family head on whom (Kyeame) he sent the message to deliver to Otumfuo.

He could not provide the linguist’s name to which he sent the message through to Otumfuo. In this case Nananom sees it as false from the side of the family head.

He was customarily arrested and charged two sheep, he pleaded and it was reduced to one sheep.

The family appeared before Nananom today for the final verdict and it is alleged that the date set by the family head and the funeral planning committee has been changed.
