The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon who doubles as the Deputy Minister for agriculture has shared the government’s aim of providing birds for each household.
According to the Member of Parliament, the incumbent government is providing a total of ten thousand (10,000) birds for each constituency.
He explained that each household is expected to receive fifty (50) birds to start a poultry business.

In an interview on GTV news Ghana, the Member of Parliament further stated that the government is building a factory where these birds when grown would be sold.
He added that the farmer rearing the birds could decide whether to sell or eat them.

He encouraged each Ghanaian to participate in this project to reduce the importation of chicken from outside the country.
