Francis Abu Undergoes Successful Surgery

The Ghana Football Association is pleased to notify the public that Francis Abu has successfully undergone surgery and the acute phase of his rehabilitation has begun.

Thanks to the efforts of Dr. Prince Pambo, Black Stars head of medical, his colleagues from Toulouse FC, and the surgical team in Japan, following the incident during the game between Ghana and Japan in which Abu Francis fractured two bones.

In order to assist the player with his intense physiotherapy treatments during this critical stage of his recovery, the Ghana Football Association.

The Black Stars’ management team, and the technical staff have decided to allow one physiotherapist to remain with him.

Additionally, after the athlete is released from the Toyota Memorial Hospital where the surgery was performed, a senior member of the technical team is scheduled to travel with him to his home base in France.

The Ghana Football Association is appreciative to everyone who helped us along the way.

“We would especially want to express our gratitude to the Black Stars management and technical team for their help over the past few days”.

“We will continue to rely on their assistance throughout the recovery process as we work to guarantee that the player regains full health”.
