The former Member Parliament for the Assin Central, Honourable Kennedy Agyapong who is aspiring for the flag bearership for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has shared his opinion on a statement made by Dr. Mamudu Bawumia on his campaign tour.
According to him, Dr. Mamudu Bawumia made a statement urging the members to vote for him to lead the party for the second time.
He (Bawumia) says John Agyekum Kuffour was the flag bearer for two terms before becoming the president of Ghana, Akuffo Addo also lead the party for three terms before been elected as president, he said.

Hence the party should give him the second term to lead them for the upcoming elections.
According to Kennedy Agyapong considering the ranges of the ex presidents becoming president means Dr. Bawumia will need four terms before been elected as president.
That is sixteen years, by that time all the executive members would have died without enjoying their fruit of labour, he says.

He (Kennedy Agyapong) urges the party members to trust and vote for him to lead them in the coming election.
