President Mahama Swears In Baffoe-Bonnie As The Chief Justice

Ghana’s new Chief Justice, Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie has been sworn in by the President John Dramani Mahama into the Jubilee House following the approval of his nomination by the parliament on 13th November, 2025.

On 13th of September, 2025, Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie was nominated by the President of the country following his extensive career across the Court of Appeal, High court and Supreme court.

Since the suspension of Justice Gertrude Torkonoo on April 22, 2025, Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie has served as the Acting Chief Justice.

Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie promised all Ghanaians on reaffirming that justice and fairness will be prevailed in the judicial system.
