November 18, 2025, the President John Dramani Mahama has issued a stern warning to members of his government, stating that any appointee found guilty of engaging in corruption will face the full weight of the law.
He emphasized that corruption will not be tolerated under his administration and reiterated his commitment to promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability in governance.

Speaking at a high-level meeting with religious leaders and other dignitaries at the Jubilee House, the President stated:
“I have warned all my appointees at every cabinet meeting that if they involve themselves in any corruption scandal, they will be hanged on a tree.”
While the statement was figurative, it strongly underscores the President’s zero-tolerance stance on corruption.
