The Eastern South Regional Police Command has arrested a 26-year-old Nigerian national, Victor Benjamin Fejemirokum, who is suspected of fleeing to Ghana after allegedly murdering a woman and her daughter in Nigeria.
According to a statement issued by the Ghana Police Service on November 23, 2025, the suspect was apprehended in Akyem Wenchi, a suburb of Akwatia, following intelligence-led operations.
The arrest was prompted by a viral video alleging Fejemirokum’s involvement in the abduction and murder of a woman employed with Nigeria’s Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and her daughter in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The suspect, reportedly wanted by Nigerian authorities, had crossed into Ghana to evade arrest and was hiding in a friend’s house in Akyem Wenchi. The Ghanaian police acted swiftly upon receiving credible intelligence about his location.
Fejemirokum is currently in police custody in Ghana while efforts are underway to transfer him to Nigerian authorities for further investigations and prosecution.

The Eastern South Regional Police Command has urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or individuals in their communities to assist in crime prevention.
The Police also assured the public of ongoing operations to combat criminal activity within the region.
