Confusion has erupts as billboard with different funeral date for Daddy Lumba surfaces online.

Confusion has gripped Kumasi as conflicting funeral dates for the late Ghanaian music icon Daddy Lumba have emerged, sparking widespread debate across social media and within the entertainment industry.

Originally, December 13, 2025, was announced as the official date for the final funeral rites of the highlife legend, with several billboards already mounted in key locations around the city to communicate the arrangements to the public.

However, in a surprising turn of events, new billboards have surfaced in major parts of Kumasi displaying an entirely different date March 10, 2026 as the proposed date for the funeral.

The sudden appearance of these new posters has caused public confusion and stirred speculation online, especially as the updated date aligns with a timeline recently mentioned by evangelist and former musician, Papa Shee.

According to emerging reports, these new billboards were allegedly produced and prepared under the direction of Papa Shee, in collaboration with Daddy Lumba’s sister, Ernestina Fosuh (widely known as Akosua Bimponmaa), and his uncle, Wofa Poku. Sources claim the trio acted based on instructions from Daddy Lumba’s first wife, who currently resides in Germany.
