Ministry of Foreign Affairs grants Free Visas to participants of diaspora summit 2025 in the coming days.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ghana has announced the provision of free visas to participants attending the upcoming Diaspora Summit 2025, scheduled for 19th to 20th December, 2025 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
The move follows a pledge made by the Minister for Foreign Affairs during the Media Launch of the summit to ease access and boost participation.

In a public notice, the Ministry urged all prospective participants to visit the nearest Ghanaian Embassy, High Commission, or Consulate in their country of residence to obtain their free visas prior to their travel.
The summit, which aligns with the spirit of Pan-Africanism, aims to bring together Africans and people of African descent to strengthen cooperation and forge enduring partnerships for shared progress.
Participants must register online via www.diasporasummitghana.org by the deadline of Monday, 8th December, 2025.
Additionally, the Ministry highlighted that citizens from countries with reciprocal Visa Waiver Agreements do not require a visa to travel to Ghana.
This includes holders of all passports from countries such as Barbados, Bahamas, Dominica, South Africa, Kenya, Jamaica, and many others.
Also, holders of Diplomatic, Official, and Service Passports from countries like Brazil, China, Germany, and the UAE are exempted from visa requirements.
The Ministry encourages timely visa applications and assures all participants of Ghana’s warm hospitality during the summit.
