Fatal accident on Accra-Kumasi highway claims lives at Enyinasi Anyinam causing a lot of worries on our highways.

A tragic accident occurred earlier today on the Accra-Kumasi Highway near Enyinasi, Anyinam, resulting in multiple fatalities and several injuries, according to eyewitness accounts.

The incident, which has since gone viral through a video circulating online, reportedly involved a head-on collision between a commercial minibus (commonly referred to as “Uvan”) and a private car.

Preliminary eyewitness reports indicate that the Uvan was attempting to overtake another vehicle when it veered into the opposite lane and collided with the oncoming car at high speed.

Eyewitnesses at the scene described the impact as severe, with several passengers trapped inside the mangled vehicles.

Emergency services, including the police and ambulance service, were called to the scene to assist with rescue efforts and transport the injured to nearby hospitals.

Schofield Felix Amankona Diawuo, a bystander who recorded the aftermath, shared visuals showing the damaged vehicles, emergency responders, and distressed onlookers.

Though the exact number of casualties is yet to be confirmed by authorities, locals report that “many lives have been lost,” with others sustaining critical injuries.
