According to police reports, three of the suspects were initially intercepted while riding an unregistered motorbike.

Upon approaching a police snap checkpoint at Mpesiem, they failed to comply with stop orders, prompting officers to pursue and subsequently arrest them.

Further investigations led officers to the residences of the suspects, where a search uncovered a backpack containing several talismans, a face mask, and rings—items believed to be used in their alleged criminal operations.

Preliminary findings have connected the suspects to multiple robbery cases reported in the Bekwai area.

The police have confirmed that all five individuals are currently in custody and assisting with ongoing investigations.
