The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement stating that Ghana has deported three Israelis in response to ill-treatment and unjustified deportation of Ghanaian Nationals by Israeli Authorities.

The Government of Ghana has deported three Israeli nationals who arrived in the country earlier today, in a measured response to what it describes as the “ill-treatment and unjustified deportation” of three Ghanaian citizens by Israeli authorities earlier this week.
According to an official statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the decision was taken to safeguard the dignity of Ghanaian nationals and to ensure that the country’s citizens are treated with respect when abroad.

The move follows a growing diplomatic concern over how Ghanaian travellers were recently handled at Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport.
The Chargé d’Affaires ad Interim of the Israeli Embassy in Ghana was summoned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for discussions, in the absence of the Israeli Ambassador who is currently outside Ghana.
Both governments have since expressed willingness to resolve the matter amicably.
The Ministry emphasized Ghana’s commitment to protecting the rights and dignity of its nationals, while also respecting those of foreign nationals within its borders.

The government has signaled its continued readiness to work towards peaceful and diplomatic resolutions, while firmly upholding the rights of its citizens on the global stage.
