The court’s directive came after it invalidated the results of the 2024 Parliamentary Election in the area.
In accordance with the ruling, the Clerk to Parliament formally notified the Electoral Commission on 9th December 2025 of a vacancy in the Kpandai seat in Parliament, thereby confirming the legal requirement for a rerun.
According to the press release, signed by Mr. Fred Tetteh, Deputy Director of the Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Department, the rerun will be limited to the three candidates who contested in the 2024 election for the constituency.
