GES Sets Dates for 2025 Promotion Examinations for Teachers

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the schedule for the 2025 Promotion Examinations for eligible teachers, to be held on Monday, 29th December and Tuesday, 30th December 2025.

In a circular signed by Dr. Munawaru Issahaque, Acting Deputy Director-General (Q&A), GES stated that the examinations form part of the annual promotion cycle and will assess candidates seeking elevation to various teaching and administrative ranks.

Examination Details:

– 29th December, 2025

– Assistant Director II (AD II) – 9:00 AM

– Principal Superintendent (PS) – 12:00 NOON

– 30th December, 2025

– Assistant Director I (AD I) – 9:00 AM

– Deputy Director (DD) – 12:00 NOON

All candidates are required to report to designated centres by 8:30 AM each day with a valid Ghana Card and necessary materials. The list of eligible candidates, examination venues, and invigilation rosters will be shared in due course.

GES has urged Regional Directors to ensure timely dissemination of this information to all schools.

Teacher unions, including GNAT, NAGRAT, and CCT, have also been called upon to assist in mobilizing and encouraging members to participate.
