KNUST warns applicants against fake admission protocol offers circulating on the internet.
The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has issued a strong disclaimer warning the public against fraudulent claims regarding so-called “KNUST Protocol” admissions into Engineering and Health-related programmes.

In a notice signed by Dr. Daniel Norris Bekoe, University Relations Officer, the institution stated that its attention has been drawn to a circulating message falsely promising admission through unofficial means.

The university has categorically denied the existence of any “protocol”, shortcut, or special arrangement that guarantees admission into any of its programmes.
KNUST emphasized that admissions are strictly merit-based, relying on academic qualifications, performance, and established admission procedures.
The management urged prospective applicants, parents, and the general public to treat such messages with the utmost contempt and avoid engaging with individuals promoting such schemes, warning that anyone who does so does so at their own risk.
All official admission communications, KNUST stressed, are made only through the university’s official channels.

KNUST reaffirmed its commitment to a transparent and secure admissions process and advised applicants to seek credible information only through its website (www.knust.edu.gh) or through verified contact lines and platforms, including WhatsApp and Telegram.
This alert comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to maintain the integrity of its admissions and protect applicants from fraud.
