Nissan Urvan crushes into pieces after head-on collision with long vehicle on the express road of Wasa Kekyewere.

A tragic road accident at Wasa Kyekyewere in the Western Region has resulted in the loss of several lives, leaving the local community in mourning.

The fatal crash occurred on Saturday and involved a Nissan private vehicle and a long articulated truck.

Eyewitness reports indicate that the Nissan car, carrying several passengers, collided head-on with the long vehicle under circumstances yet to be confirmed by authorities.

The impact was so severe that the front section of the Nissan was completely mangled, trapping occupants inside and causing instant fatalities.

Emergency services, including personnel from the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana National Fire Service, quickly responded to the scene.

Rescue operations were carried out to retrieve bodies and assist injured individuals.

Several victims, some critically injured, were transported to nearby health facilities for emergency care.

Local authorities have since launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. Preliminary assumptions suggest possible over speeding or mechanical failure, but official confirmation is yet to be made.
