Ghanaian Dancehall superstar, Shatta Wale, has issued a strong message to event promoters across the country, warning them against scheduling him as the final act at concerts.
The outspoken musician made the statement during his performance at the recently held GTBank Music Festival at the Accra Sports Stadium, which drew thousands of fans from across the capital.
In front of the excited crowd, Shatta Wale paused his performance to express his displeasure with the show’s organizers for placing him at the end of the performance lineup.

According to the “On God” hitmaker, while many promoters may believe placing him last adds prestige to the show, he finds it disrespectful especially when done without prior agreement.
“If you put me last on your show without telling me, you’ll lose 2 million. I am not your closing act. I’m a headliner, not a backup plan,” Shatta Wale stated.
His comments sparked mixed reactions from the audience, with some cheering in support while others remained stunned by his bold remarks.
Shatta Wale, known for his unapologetic stance on industry practices, has long been vocal about what he describes as the unfair treatment of artists in Ghana’s music space.
He emphasized that his presence at any show is enough to draw massive crowds, and therefore, promoters should consult him before deciding performance schedules.
The GTBank show, which featured other top Ghanaian artists, was a success overall, with high-energy performances and large fan turnout.
However, Shatta Wale’s statement has once again stirred debate in the entertainment industry about how major artists are managed on show lineups.
Event organizers have yet to respond to the artist’s remarks, but the issue has already gone viral on social media, with fans and industry players weighing in on whether Shatta Wale’s concerns are valid or exaggerated.
