Man Laments Doing Chores Despite Being Sole Provider

A young man has shared his concerns about the growing imbalance in responsibilities in his relationship with a woman he is dating with the intention of marrying.

According to his account, the woman had been employed at a plastic production company, but faced ongoing challenges at work, including persistent harassment from her employer and low wages that barely covered her transportation costs.

Due to these difficulties, and after discussing the situation with her, the man advised her to quit the job and stay home. She agreed, and coincidentally, the company later closed down.

Since then, he has taken on full financial responsibility for her needs, including occasional support for her family.

Despite his support, the man revealed his frustration over the fact that his partner expects him to participate in household chores after returning home from work.

He pointed out that, while he does not complain when she needs anything, he feels unsupported when it comes to maintaining the home.

“I don’t argue when she needs something; I just provide it. All I ask is for her to help keep the house in order cleaning, washing clothes, and tidying the toilet but she told me she cannot wash the toilet,” he explained.

His story highlights the growing conversations around roles, expectations, and fairness in modern relationships, particularly when one partner assumes full financial responsibility.
