In a coordinated overnight operation, the Cyber Security Authority (CSA), in collaboration with National Security and the Ghana Police Service, has apprehended 48 individuals suspected of engaging in various forms of cybercrime.
The raid took place in Dawhenya, located within the Ningo-Prampram Constituency of the Greater Accra Region.
According to official reports, the suspects include 46 males and 2 females, all believed to be Nigerian nationals.

Preliminary investigations indicate their alleged involvement in a range of cybercriminal activities, including online investment fraud, romance scams, impersonation, and illicit gold trading conducted through digital platforms.
During the operation, security personnel seized a significant number of digital devices used in perpetrating the alleged crimes. Items confiscated included 54 laptops, 39 mobile phones, a Starlink internet device, and eight MTN TurboNet routers.
Authorities have indicated that thorough investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the suspects’ operations and to identify any local or international networks they may be connected to.
The CSA has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting Ghana’s digital space and warned that cybercriminals will continue to face the full force of the law.
