Former U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to terrorist elements in Nigeria, particularly those affiliated with ISIL, following a recent U.S.-led airstrike in the countryโs northwest.
The operation targeted suspected ISIL fighters accused of orchestrating brutal attacks against Christian communities in the region.
In a statement attributed to Trump, he emphasized that the U.S. will not hesitate to take further military action if the terrorists continue their operations.

โThere will be more strikes if you prove stubborn,โ Trump declared, adding that the safety of innocent people, especially Christians, remains a priority for American foreign policy.
The recent airstrike comes amid growing international concern over rising extremist violence in parts of West Africa, with Nigeria being one of the hardest-hit countries.
Over the past decade, groups like Boko Haram and ISIL-affiliated militants have been linked to thousands of deaths, mass abductions, and the displacement of entire communities.
Trump, known for his aggressive stance on terrorism during his presidency, reiterated that the U.S. would act decisively in protecting religious freedoms and innocent lives.
He also called on the Nigerian government and regional partners to intensify their efforts in dismantling terrorist networks.
The Nigerian government has yet to issue an official response to Trumpโs comments or confirm the full extent of the damage caused by the airstrike.
However, local reports indicate that the operation dealt a significant blow to militant infrastructure in the targeted area.
