The traditional council and people of Effiduase in the Ashanti Region are in mourning following the passing of the Effiduasehene. The revered traditional leader reportedly died after a period of illness.
The official announcement was made by the Queen Mother of Asante Mampong after a solemn meeting with the elders of the Effiduase Stool.
The Queen Mother, in line with customary rites, conveyed the sad news to the community and surrounding traditional authorities, marking the beginning of the official mourning period.

Details surrounding the nature of the illness and the exact time of death remain undisclosed, as tradition dictates that further announcements will be made following proper customary procedures.
The late Effiduasehene was known for his commitment to local development, the preservation of cultural heritage, and the promotion of peace within the Sekyere East District. His passing has left a significant void in the traditional leadership structure.
Plans for funeral rites and the enstoolment of a successor will be communicated in due course, in accordance with Asante custom and tradition.
