The Ghana Police Service has arrested two more suspects in connection with the recent armed robbery of a jewellery shop at Adabraka, Accra.
The arrests were made by the Office of the Special Operations Assistant to the Inspector-General of Police as part of ongoing efforts to bring all perpetrators to justice.
The suspects, identified as Hamza Agerego (also known as Nene Bawku or Lambert) and Alhassan Elliasu (alias Arab Man), were apprehended on January 7, 2026, during a targeted operation at their hideouts in Ashaiman.

Hamza Agerego had earlier been arrested and detained at the Katamanso District Police Headquarters in connection with the case.
Acting on further intelligence, police operatives tracked and arrested Alhassan Elliasu at his residence in Ashaiman.
A search conducted at the premises led to the recovery of a significant cache of arms and other items. The recovered items include:
– Two pump-action guns
– Forty-three (43) rounds of AK47 ammunition
– Two hundred and thirty-nine (239) BB cartridges
– Four bulletproof vests
– One black boot
– One black face mask
– Two cutlasses
– Two Samsung mobile phones
– One iPhone 13
– A wristwatch
– One CCTV monitor
The two suspects are currently in police custody and assisting with investigations.
They will be arraigned before court to face charges relating to the robbery and possession of prohibited firearms and ammunition.
