A heartbreaking incident has rocked the community of Torkorni/Blave in the Hohoe Municipality of the Volta Region, where a mobile money (MoMo) vendor has reportedly taken his own life, allegedly due to overwhelming debt.
According to eyewitnesses and community reports, the young man, whose identity is yet to be officially disclosed, was found lifeless in the early hours of the day.
He was known in the area as a hardworking and dedicated MoMo vendor.
However, residents suggest that he had been struggling with significant financial burdens in recent times.

Emergency responders and community members were seen retrieving the body, as captured in a widely circulated image showing a solemn group lifting a body bag into the back of a vehicle.
The moment has sparked widespread grief and concern on social media, with many expressing sorrow over yet another life lost under the weight of economic hardship.
The incident has reignited calls for mental health awareness, especially among youth and small business operators who may silently struggle with financial stress.
Local leaders are urging those in distress to seek help, and for authorities to provide better financial support systems and mental health services.
