A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, popularly known as KOKA, has launched strong accusations against the former Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong, claiming the outspoken lawmaker has benefited significantly from government contracts without making financial contributions to the party’s growth.

Speaking in an interview that has since stirred debate within political circles, KOKA alleged that Kennedy Agyapong profited from over 2 billion worth of Energy Ministry contracts during his time as a sitting Member of Parliament.

Despite these benefits, KOKA claimed Agyapong has failed to provide meaningful financial support to the NPP, especially during key election periods.

He also warned the MP to stop dragging the name of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s flagbearer for the 2024 elections, into his personal political narratives.

“Kennedy Agyapong should focus on his own campaign and stop attacking the flagbearer. He has benefited enough from the party and the government. If he’s not ready to support financially or promote unity, he should stay in his lane,” KOKA said.

The comments have sparked conversations within party ranks, raising concerns over internal divisions ahead of the upcoming general elections. Kennedy Agyapong is yet to publicly respond to the allegations.
