Police Arrest Six Suspects in Juaso Robbery and Gang Rape Case

The Ashanti South Regional Police Command, through an intelligence-led operation, has arrested six suspects believed to be members of a robbery and gang rape syndicate operating in Juaso in the Ashanti Region.

The suspects—identified as David Adusah, popularly known as Vibes; Samuel Amantor (Road); Andrew Odei (Salinco); Sharif Mohammed (Isco); Joseph Addo (Moves); and Chidi Arinze (Orga Happiness)—were arrested on 8 January 2026 following sustained police surveillance and investigations.

A search conducted at the residences of the suspects led to the recovery of several exhibits, including forty-nine mobile phone covers, a bayonet case, a green dress resembling a military uniform, and a photograph allegedly showing the group’s leader dressed in military-style camouflage.

Police also retrieved and impounded a Toyota RAV4 vehicle, which is believed to have been used by the suspects during their criminal activities.

During interrogation, the suspects reportedly admitted their involvement in the alleged robbery and gang rape incidents.

On 12 January 2026, the suspects were arraigned before court and remanded into lawful custody. They are expected to reappear on 28 January 2026 to allow the Police to conclude investigations.

The Ghana Police Service has assured the general public that investigations are ongoing and reiterated its commitment to ensuring that all persons found culpable are brought to justice in accordance with the law.
