Ghanaian content creator Christford Affadu Danful, popularly known as Ekow Black, is currently in police custody following his arrest by the Inspector-General of Police’s Special Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team (CVET).
The arrest was carried out on January 15, 2026, after a video circulated widely on social media allegedly showing Ekow Black involved in a domestic assault.
The footage sparked public concern and prompted swift action by law enforcement authorities.
According to police sources, the arrest forms part of ongoing investigations into an incident reported to have occurred on November 30, 2025.

The case is being handled by the IGP’s Special Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team, a unit mandated to address cyber-related offences and cases arising from digital platforms.
Law enforcement officials have confirmed that investigations are still underway and that the suspect remains in custody pending further legal processes.
Authorities have emphasized that the matter is being treated with due diligence and in accordance with the law.
Police have also urged the public to refrain from speculation and commentary that could prejudice the investigation, stressing the importance of allowing the legal process to take its course.
