He further described Khamenei as a figure who inspired hope among many people, particularly those who felt oppressed or marginalized in different parts of the world.
Sheikh Sharubutu also strongly condemned the reported United States and Israeli actions believed to have led to the Iranian leader’s death.
He noted that such an act, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, undermines human dignity, violates national sovereignty, and disrespects the sacredness of a spiritually significant period for Muslims.
The National Chief Imam extended his heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Iran, while also expressing sympathy to families who may have lost loved ones in the incident, regardless of their nationality or religious background.
He concluded his message with a strong appeal to world leaders and the international community to prioritize dialogue and peace.
