Coach accused of sexually assaulting 16-year-old boy granted bail with two sureties.

Coach Ibrahim Anyass, a trainer at the Siano Soccer Academy, has been granted bail in the sum of GH¢50,000 with two sureties by a Ghanaian court, as investigations continue into allegations of sexual assault that have sparked national concern.

Anyass was arrested following serious accusations that he sexually assaulted 16-year-old footballer Ransford Owusu Ansah, a promising young talent under his care at the academy.

The alleged abuse is believed to have significantly impacted the boy’s well-being and is suspected to have contributed to his untimely and tragic death.

The case has triggered public outrage, with many calling for stricter oversight and enhanced child protection measures within sports academies and institutions across the country.

Meanwhile, the Siano Soccer Academy has come under intense scrutiny, with calls for an independent investigation into the academy’s practices and the safeguarding measures in place.
