A tragic incident has rocked the Congolese community as a young entrepreneur, Patrick Kabuya, has died following a violent altercation with his fiancée’s alleged lover.
According to local sources, Mr. Kabuya discovered that his fiancée, identified as Betita, had been involved in a secret relationship with her gym instructor.
In an attempt to confront the situation, Mr. Kabuya approached the instructor, which led to a physical altercation between the two men.

Eyewitnesses report that the confrontation quickly escalated into a brutal fight during which Patrick was severely beaten. Despite his fiancée’s pleas for the gym instructor to stop, the assault continued until Mr. Kabuya sustained serious internal injuries.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he battled for his life for two weeks before succumbing to complications from internal bleeding.
Following investigations, the gym instructor was arrested and later sentenced to life imprisonment for his role in the fatal assault. Betita, while at the center of the controversy, is not facing any criminal charges as the case primarily involved the confrontation between the two men.
The incident has sparked discussions on the dangers of violent confrontations and the emotional toll of infidelity. Many have called for increased awareness around conflict resolution and emotional health in relationships.

Mr. Kabuya has been described by friends and colleagues as a hardworking and ambitious young man whose life was cut short in a deeply unfortunate manner. His family is calling for calm and healing as they mourn his loss.
