DCE for Bole involves in serious accident on Yapei–Tamale Highway while he was on his way to a meeting.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bole, was involved in a serious road accident while en route to Tamale for an official assignment.

The incident occurred near Galinzegu in the Central Gonja District, along the Yapei–Tamale Highway, close to the community of Sankpagla.

The DCE’s official vehicle, a white SUV, veered off the road and overturned, sustaining significant damage, especially to its front section.

Eyewitnesses who arrived at the scene shortly after the crash confirmed that the DCE was traveling with a team when the accident occurred. Fortunately, there were no reports of fatalities. The extent of injuries, if any, remains unclear at the time of reporting.

Emergency responders and local authorities quickly arrived at the scene to provide assistance and ensure the safety of the passengers.

The cause of the accident is yet to be officially confirmed, but poor road conditions and driver fatigue have not been ruled out.

The DCE was reportedly on his way to Tamale to attend a scheduled governmental meeting. The Savannah Regional Coordinating Council has been notified, and an official statement is expected soon.

Road safety remains a growing concern in the region, especially along the Yapei–Tamale stretch, which has recorded multiple accidents in recent years. Authorities are urging all road users to exercise caution and adhere strictly to traffic regulations.
