A viral video circulating on social media has sparked widespread reactions after a commercial driver was seen publicly invoking curses against officers of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Taskforce, following the towing of his vehicle.

According to eyewitness accounts, the incident occurred in Kumasi when the driver’s Sprinter bus reportedly developed a mechanical fault while in operation.

The driver is said to have parked the vehicle by the roadside and was making efforts to fix the problem to avoid obstructing traffic or causing inconvenience.

Eyewitnesses claim that while the driver was attempting to resolve the fault, officers from the KMA Taskforce arrived at the scene and decided to tow the vehicle to their station.

The driver allegedly pleaded with the officers, explaining that the fault was temporary and that he was already working on repairs. Despite his appeals, the vehicle was towed.

In response, the visibly distressed driver was captured on video expressing anger and frustration over what he described as an unfair action.

He reportedly insisted that he had not committed any offence that warranted his vehicle being towed.

In the video, the driver is seen using eggs as part of a traditional curse ritual, which he claimed was directed at the taskforce officers involved in the operation.

The video has since generated mixed reactions online, with some social media users sympathizing with the driver’s situation, while others criticized his actions, calling for calm and lawful means of addressing grievances with authorities.

As of the time of reporting, the KMA Taskforce has not issued an official statement on the incident.

The situation has once again raised public discussion about enforcement methods by city authorities and the need for clear communication between officials and motorists, especially in cases involving mechanical breakdowns.
