GES Condemns Assault on Teacher at Kade Senior High Technical School, Assures of Disciplinary Action
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a strong condemnation of an assault on Mr. Michael Quayson, a teacher at Kade Senior High Technical School, by some former students of the school.

The incident, which was captured in a widely circulated social media video, has drawn public concern and prompted swift response from GES.
According to a preliminary report received by GES, the incident occurred on 5th October 2025.

It is alleged that the assailants attacked the teacher because he enforced strict rules during the invigilation of the Christian Religious Studies paper in the 2025 WASSCE examinations.
Management noted that the matter was not officially reported until the video surfaced online. Since then, GES has launched investigations and taken control of the issue.
In a statement signed by Mr. Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations at GES, the Service described the assault as unlawful and a serious affront to the dignity of the teaching profession.

GES assured that the students involved will face appropriate sanctions in line with existing laws and regulations.
GES also reaffirmed its commitment to protecting teachers and promoting discipline and respect across all schools, urging students to uphold integrity and authority in academic settings.
