This mission forms part of a broader cooperation initiative between Ghana and Jamaica, aimed at deepening bilateral relations while extending technical and humanitarian support to communities in need.
The Engineering Team, made up of skilled professionals from Ghana’s military and civil engineering sectors, has been working closely with local authorities and residents to rebuild key infrastructure damaged by extreme weather events and other socio-economic challenges.
According to officials, the completed roofing projects are critical to restoring safe housing and public structures such as community centers and schools. These efforts are expected to significantly improve the living conditions of affected residents and contribute to the broader development agenda of the Jamaican government.
The Ghanaian team continues to receive commendation from both Ghanaian and Jamaican authorities for their professionalism, dedication, and the positive impact of their work.
Further phases of the mission are expected to cover more communities and include additional construction and rehabilitation work.
