The Ghana Police Service has arrested a group of women seen physically assaulting a young girl in a disturbing video that recently went viral on social media platforms.
The footage, which sparked widespread public outrage, shows two women aggressively beating a young girl while another woman appears to restrain her.
The video, believed to have been recorded in a residential setting, quickly gained traction online, prompting calls for swift action from authorities and child rights advocates.

In response, the Ghana Police launched an immediate investigation, leading to the arrest of all the women involved in the assault. They are currently in police custody and assisting with investigations.
According to a police statement, the young victim is safe and has been taken to a medical facility for examination and care.
Social welfare officials have also been involved to ensure her well-being and provide psychological support.
The police have condemned the actions captured in the video, describing them as “inhumane and unacceptable.”
Authorities have assured the public that justice will be served and that cases of child abuse will not be tolerated under any circumstance.
The Ghana Police Service has also urged the public to continue reporting cases of abuse and to avoid taking the law into their own hands.
