The announcement was made by Goldbod CEO, Sammy Gyamfi, on January 3, 2026. According to Mr. Gyamfi, the impressive profit reflects the board’s strategic reforms, enhanced oversight of gold trading activities, and a renewed focus on maximizing value from Ghana’s gold resources.

He highlighted that Goldbod’s performance was driven by increased transparency, the formalization of gold trading processes, and efficient revenue management within the sector.
