A young woman has stirred conversation online after expressing deep regret over ending a past relationship due to financial reasons.

In a candid video shared on social media, she reflected on her decision to leave her former boyfriend in 2018 because he lacked financial stability at the time.

According to her, she believed she could find a partner who was more financially secure and better suited to her expectations.

However, years later, she says life has been more difficult than anticipated.

She described her ex-partner as generous despite having limited means, recalling that he would willingly share nearly all he had with her.

Looking back, she now questions whether she misjudged the situation and overlooked qualities such as loyalty, commitment, and willingness to build a future together.

The woman also criticised the common advice that encourages people to leave relationships in search of something “better,” warning that such expectations may sometimes be unrealistic.

In her view, what people imagine exists outside their current relationships may not always match reality.

Her remarks have sparked mixed reactions. While some sympathised with her honesty and self-reflection, others argued that personal growth often comes with difficult lessons.
