A Nigerian man has triggered widespread online reactions after a video showed him storming his girlfriend’s salon to remove items he claimed to have funded, accusing her of planning to marry another man behind his back.
According to the man, he single-handedly financed the establishment of the salon and consistently supported his girlfriend financially throughout their relationship.
He alleged that he recently discovered she was making secret plans to marry someone else without formally ending their relationship or informing him, a move he described as betrayal and ingratitude.

Angered by the revelation, the man arrived at the salon with a friend and began packing various items, including hair products, salon equipment, attachments, and other materials he said he purchased.
In the viral video, the woman is seen crying and pleading, insisting that marriage cannot be forced and that he has no right to treat her in such a manner.
Despite her protests and resistance from those present, the man proceeded to remove several items.
The incident has generated intense debate online. Supporters of the man argue that he was justified in reclaiming his investments since the relationship had allegedly ended under dishonest circumstances.
Critics, however, describe his actions as controlling and unacceptable, stressing that no one should be pressured into marriage and warning that forcibly removing items from a business could amount to harassment or theft.
